Shanghai Shangji Group Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Electric), referred to as Shangji Group, is the headquarter company of Shanghai Shangji Group Test Equipment Co., Ltd. Originated in 1936, some members are the former National Machinery Ministry and Shanghai backbone enterprises, and it is one of the earliest enterprises producing electrical equipment in China.

Since 1984, members of the group have successively established joint ventures and cooperation with German STAHL, SIEMENS, Mannesmann, American Westinghouse, Timage, Turbine Air Systems, Wyman-Gordon forgings, French Schneider, Italian Dalmine, Swiss ABB, Spanish Tubacex, Japan's Mitsubishi and other international companies.
